Many users desire to remain up-to-date at all times, and Microsoft is fully cognizant of this fact. Consequently, Windows 11 incorporates a functionality that facilitates the automatic installation of feature updates as soon as they become available. This ensures that you need not wait for the update to be accessible to your PC; instead, you can simply enable your computer to receive the update immediately upon its release. Let us see how to get Windows 11 Feature Update quickly.
Get Windows 11 Feature Updates quickly
In order to utilize this feature, you must have Windows 11 Build 25314 or a later version installed. This is because the feature is presently undergoing testing in Insider Builds and is not yet available on stable releases. If you cannot locate this feature, you may need to exercise patience or alternatively, use a third-party application to immediately enable this setting.
With that in mind, let us first install Update Stack Package version 1101.2303.8011.0. To do the same, go to Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Quality updates. After installing the update, follow any of the following methods to get Windows 11 Feature Updates quickly.
- Using Registry Editor
- Using Vivetool
1] Using Registry Editor
Registry Editor stores the configuration of your computer, hence we can alter the system’s settings using this utility. However, this also makes Registry Editor very delicate, and fiddling with it is not recommended. So, before altering registries, let us first take a backup of the Registry Editor. Once you have taken the backup, navigate to the following location in Registry Editor.
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windowsupdate\UX\Settings
Now, right-click on the empty space and select New > DWORD (32-Bit) Value. Name the newly created key IsContinuousInnovationOptedIn. Right-click on IsContinuousInnovationOptedIn and select Edit. Change the Value data to 1 and click on Ok. Reboot your computer and the changes will be saved permanently.
In case, you want to disable it, just change the Value data of IsContinuousInnovationOptedIn to 0. This will do the job for you.
2] Using Vivetool
We have first to download and install Vivetool on our computer. Then, open Command Prompt with administrative privileges and execute the following command.
c:\vivetool\vivetool.exe /enable /id:43132439
Once you get the “Successful” message, restart your computer.
Now, open Windows Settings by Win + I and go to Windows Update. Finally, turn on the option next to Get the latest update as soon as they’re ready for your PC. This is how you get Windows 11 Features Updates.
